a wish flew by the other day, on glinting silver string
it twisted dived and blew away in puffy patchwork quilting
chased afterwords by many men it sailed along the tides
it shining swirling dipped again, unpressed alone it flied
it was the dream crept seemly by, snuck, slowly traipsed along
avoiding rampant 'mirers eyes, humming its undersong
what say I to this cheerless plight of silly prattling gleams?
forget air wishes in your sight, instead follow the dreams
